The one for sacrifices made..
A song that never, never fails to make me cry. Let's salute the soldiers, yes, but also not forget the bigger sacrifices their families and loved ones make. Some, even willingly. Yes. Willingly. In earlier days (and even today for that matter), parents would take immense pride in the fact their at least one, if not more, of their sons was serving in the armed forces. It was rather difficult to find a household that did not have a member in the forces. All this, while silently waiting for that next letter to arrive from the border, and even having the strength to accept the fact that there may never be another letter. And all that would possibly come back would be what was once their own bundle of joy, now silently laid to rest in the lap of the tricolour.
